A Man Kept Manspreading Into a Woman’s Plane Seat for Hours – When He Returned From the Restroom, He Shouted, ‘What the Hell Did You Do?!’

“I’ve asked him several times to move. My hip is starting to hurt.”

“Where is he?”

“Restroom.”

I gave a nervous smile.

“I thought I’d ask while I could get out without another argument.”

Her expression softened.

“I’m sorry you’ve been uncomfortable.”

She checked the cabin.

“There’s an empty aisle seat two rows back.”

My relief was immediate.

“Would you like it?”

“Please.”

Then I added:

“And I should have told you earlier when you asked whether I was okay.”

“We can talk about that once you’re settled.”

I gathered my handbag and book.

Henry stood to let me through.

Then, unexpectedly, he looked at the flight attendant.

“I heard her ask him to move.”

I stopped.

“She asked several times.”

I looked at him.

“Thank you.”

Henry gave me a small nod.

“I should’ve said something sooner too.”

The flight attendant guided me to the empty aisle seat.
