Although fatal overdoses have declined significantly in recent years, provisional data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicated that fentanyl and other synthetic opioids were still implicated in more than 35,000 deaths over the preceding year. For Sahara’s loved ones, however, the loss is far more personal than any statistic.
At just 34, the model leaves behind a career spanning fashion, swimwear design, and social media, as well as the little girl who had become the center of her world.
And perhaps nothing captures that bond more poignantly than the final words she chose to share with her followers: “My whole heart 🤍 baby Snow.”
At this time, we wish to extend our most heartfelt condolences to Gretchen, Tony, the entire Ray family, all of Sahara’s loved ones, her friends, community, and all who knew and loved her. RIP, dear Sahara.
