I Came Home 34 Weeks Pregnant to Find My Husband Had Given Away My Entire Maternity Wardrobe

Then she asked, “Did you give either of them permission to take those clothes?”

“No.”

“Did Nick ask you first?”

“No.”

“Did Tara ask whether she could sell any of them?”

“No.”

Elaine was quiet for a moment. “Would you like me to help you get your belongings back?”

I had spent the day being told that I was overreacting. Her question caught me off guard.

“Yes,” I said. “Please.”

“All right. Send me the screenshots.”

I forwarded the listings. Elaine told me to eat something and rest, then said she wanted to see everything before we talked in the morning.

After our call, I sent her the screenshots of the dresses, the cardigan, the blouses, and the sold gown. I was relieved to have someone take the problem seriously.

A few minutes later, Tara messaged me: “Anna, please don’t tell Mom what happened. Nick said you already knew he was giving me the clothes.”
