A man kept manspreading into my plane seat for hours—when he returned from the restroom, he shouted, “What the hell did you do?!”

And Kemi, who I have been using as a character and who wrote me a two-page letter in the February.

She did not have to. I had written to the airline; it went to customer relations; it came back through them, and then about three weeks later there was a second envelope with her name on it.

And she is forty-three and she has been doing that job since 2009 and she wrote one paragraph that I have read more than anything else out of the whole of this.

She said that 4C was the only thing she had and that she had to make a decision about who to move in about four seconds while standing between two passengers, and that she has to make that decision roughly once a month.

And then she said: I move the person who has complained. Not because they deserve it more. Because if I move the quiet one, the one who complained is still in the row and it starts again.
