Any allegation involving a real person requires reliable evidence and appropriate investigation.
WHY THE QUESTIONS ABOUT EPSTEIN’S FILES STILL MATTER
Even without confirmation of the alleged 13-name list, the broader questions raised during the hearing remain significant.
Who was responsible for protecting victims’ identities? Were complaints from survivors addressed appropriately?
Were records reviewed carefully before being made public? And what steps would be taken to investigate credible allegations?
These questions deserve answers grounded in documents, testimony, and independently verified evidence.
The public has a legitimate interest in transparency and accountability.
Survivors also deserve privacy, dignity, and protection from the unnecessary circulation of identifying information.
THE DISTINCTION THAT SHOULD NOT BE IGNORED
The Epstein case continues to generate intense public interest because of the seriousness of the crimes, the failures alleged by survivors, and questions about how institutions handled the investigation.
But dramatic claims can spread faster than the evidence needed to support them.
