MY GREEDY SON AND HIS CALCULATING WIFE BURST OUT LAUGHING WHEN I ENTERED THE COURTROOM LEANING ON MY CANE

Curtis immediately stood and made it clear that his office had received the medical exhibit from Daniel already assembled.

Daniel looked toward Vanessa, and she stared back at him with growing alarm.

“You made the packet.”

“I scanned what you gave me.”

“You edited the PDF.”

“You told me they were corrections!”

Curtis physically stepped away from them.

Daniel panicked and accused Vanessa of lying, but she fired back that he had told her my doctor had simply forgotten to include the diagnosis.

When I calmly stated that there had never been any diagnosis, Vanessa turned toward her husband.

“You told me she had dementia.”

“I said she was declining.”

“You said a neurologist told you!”

Judge Mercer stopped the argument and asked whether I could prove who had created the altered document.

“Yes.”

A week before the hearing, Vanessa’s printer had malfunctioned, forcing her to email the modified PDF to a copy center from her personal account.

Her message contained one devastating sentence.

“Daniel says use this new version because Mom’s doctor left out the mental part.”

By the time court resumed after another recess, additional officers had entered the room.

Daniel accused me of trying to have my own son arrested, still portraying the consequences as something I was doing to him instead of the result of his own choices.

“You broke into my office. You forged my signature. You tried to seize my money. You prepared to sell my home. You photographed injuries you helped cause and used those injuries to claim I was incompetent.”

My voice remained steady.

“You did those things, Daniel.”

“You’re my mother.”

“Yes. And you were my son before you became my predator.”

For a brief moment, his anger cracked.

Then he accused me of always loving Robert more and complained that his father had respected me while judging him.

That was when I revealed another truth.

Six years earlier, when Daniel’s construction company failed, Robert had secretly covered the outstanding payroll so twelve employees wouldn’t miss Christmas.

When Daniel later faced tax problems, Robert paid for his attorney, and after Daniel lost $43,000 trading options while Vanessa was pregnant, Robert covered their mortgage.
