“I’M NOT GOING BACK TO HAITI” — BUT HE DID. WISTEGUENS JEAN QUELY CHARLES WAS DEPORTED AFTER 19 MONTHS IN FEDERAL CUSTODY.
Remember January 2025, when a Haitian man went viral during his ICE arrest in Massachusetts? He was recorded shouting at cameras: “I’m not going back to Haiti … you feel me? F— Trump. Biden forever.”
DHS and ICE have now confirmed to Fox News that Wisteguens Jean Quely Charles was deported to Haiti on September 10, 2026 — about 19 months after that arrest. An immigration judge issued a final removal order on November 7, 2025. According to DHS, Charles had 17 criminal convictions and was identified as associated with a gang.
Sources told Fox News that Charles was combative on the deportation flight, which originated in Louisiana, and made profane and threatening remarks while on board.
The viral arrest video became a flashpoint in debates over deportations and Temporary Protected Status for Haitian nationals. The case is now closed, with the removal carried out through the federal immigration court.
