“What about the lumber?”

“Who paid for it?”

“Association.”

He nodded.

Because twenty minutes later, someone posted a video online claiming I had “stormed into a charity event and threatened volunteers.”

I hadn’t.

By seven, half of Millbrook had seen it.

By eight, the comments were a war zone.

I ignored them.
