That was when I ran outside.
Under my porch, I told him I had seen what he had done. At first, he looked worried and immediately explained that he had not opened any of the food containers. I reassured him that I knew everything was sealed and admitted that I had initially suspected him of doing something wrong.
When I explained that I had been watching because I thought someone might steal my food, he gave me a doubtful look. Eventually, I confessed that I had also lied about being away from home because I did not want anyone to see my face.
He laughed when I explained that I was having a bad skin day, and soon we were both laughing at the absurdity of the situation.
