I changed into my pajamas, washed my face, and ordered Chinese food. When the driver called to say he was nearby, I looked in the mirror and decided I did not want anyone to see me. My hair was a mess, and my face was covered in acne cream.
So I told him I was not home yet and asked him to leave the food by the door.
After ending the call, I returned to my movie. However, I soon remembered that packages sometimes disappeared from porches in my neighborhood. Worried that someone might steal my dinner, I turned off the lamp near my window and watched for the delivery car.
When the driver arrived, he accidentally walked toward my neighbor’s house. I called him to correct the mistake, and he apologized before moving under my neighbor’s covered porch to protect the order from the rain.
Then I noticed him opening his delivery bag.
