Chapter 1: The night before my wedding, I overheard my bridesmaids through the hotel wall: h6368

Everything had been arranged down to the smallest detail.

The ceremony would take place in the garden of a historic seaside estate. Two hundred guests were traveling from different states. My grandmother had spent months making lace handkerchiefs for the women in my family. My father, who had passed away three years earlier, had left me a small silver pendant that I planned to wear beneath my dress.

Tomorrow was supposed to be the beginning of my forever.

Instead, I was discovering that my maid of honor had spent months trying to steal my fiancé.

“Do you honestly think he’d choose you?” Kendra asked from the other room.

Vanessa answered so quickly that I imagined her rolling her eyes.

“He already came close. Men like Ethan don’t marry women like Olivia unless they’re looking for someone safe. I’m helping him fix his mistake.”

My fingers went numb around my phone.
